Gros Morn National Park, NL


Gros Morne National Park is a world heritage site located on the west coast of Newfoundland. At 1,805 km2 (697 sq mi), it is the second largest national park in Atlantic Canada.

There is a 45 minute hike from the parking lot to the wharf where you may board one of the tour boats to view Western Brook Pond, a former fiord now cut off from the sea and filled with cold fresh water. Much of the hike is boardwalk such as pictured here:
