Late afternoon fog streams in from the Atlantic and 

hides the lift bridge.

Minutes later you can just make out the bridge in the middle 

of the photograph.

A half hour later a sailboat comes out of the fog and passes under 

the lift bridge.

This wall spans the causeway at St Vincent's, NL. It's approximately a kilometre in length and it's express purpose is to keep debris from covering the highway due to high winds and seas.
